During 2010 The Complex building was re-roofed by NO1 Roofing thanks to generous financial grants from The Oxford Trust and The Pelorus Trust.

A grant of $14400 from the Trusts Community Foundation enabled the purchase of 150 new chairs and 25 new tables for the Upstairs lounge:

The earthquake in Christchurch delayed the delivery but Clint Sowby from IRL Furniture managed to get it to us hours before the Sir Colin Meads Dinner. Pinetree Meads was in good form and entertained a large crowd of locals.

The Sports Complex now has a new sealed car park with 38 spaces next to the Maungarongo Marae: This car park is for the use of both Sports Complex and Marae visitors.

Many thanks to CR Sharon Morgan, the Whangarei District Council and Transfield for completing this project. Bollards have also been installed by the Sports Complex committee members to prevent cars from driving onto the sports fields.
