The Mangakahia Sports & Community Complex is a community facility located on the Corner of Kerehunga and Mangakahia Roads, Poroti

Opened in 1976 and run by the Mangakahia Sportsground Society, the Complex has become a much-loved hub for our community. Our facilities include a spacious community building with two squash courts, two rugby fields, several junior football fields, a playground with a basketball hoop, and a peaceful walking loop—something for everyone to enjoy.

Planning a celebration or event? Our facilities are available for hire for birthdays, weddings, funerals, meetings, workshops and more. You can choose from two comfortable reception lounges, both with commercial kitchens, or a versatile hall/gymnasium with its own kitchenette. The upstairs lounge also offers a licensed bar, making it a great spot for social gatherings.

You’ll also find plenty of other groups meeting here each week. Come along and join in with children’s dance classes, Pump classes, Bootcamp fitness, Yoga, or our friendly Social Club—there’s always something happening!

Local schools and organisations regularly use the Complex for sports days, fitness activities, huis, workshops and all sorts of community events. We love being a place where people can connect, get active, and make great memories together.
