The Mangakahia Garden Club is a passionate group of approximately 80 local gardeners. The club is a great way to meet fellow gardeners and gain plant knowledge and ideas.
Meetings are held at 11am on the second Thursday of the month either at the Mangakahia Sports Complex or at visits to local members gardens
Annual Fees $5
Plant Trading Table, Guest Speakers and Garden visits feature each month.

Mangakahia Group Fitness holds a Body Pump class every Tuesday from 5:30pm – 6:30pm in the downstairs lounge at the Mangakahia Sports Complex
All equipment is supplied, just bring a towel and water bottle.
Body Pump classes are a mix of weights and cardio, run to modern music, and is suitable for all fitness levels. Classes are run by fully trained Group Fitness instructors.
Class routines change every few weeks and you’re able to set your own pace and weight level.
When
Tuesdays 5:30 – 6:30pm. Classes run from February through to Christmas with no breaks for school holidays.
Cost
$10 for a casual class, $5 for students. Ten class concessions are available for $80.

Junior Football is open to all children aged from 4 -13 years. Most teams are mixed boys and girls.
Soccer is great for young kids to start a team game. They will learn great base skills, improve co-ordination, fitness, be part of a team, make friends and have a great time.
Training
Trainings are held at the Mangakahia Sports Complex and run for approximately one hour
Fees
Fees are set at $80 per season, with discounts for 2 or more players from the same family.
Uniforms are provided by the club, players only need boots, shin pads and socks.
Little Kicks – up to Grade 8
Three-year olds can start playing in the year they are turning 4.
Little Kicks is generally play at Kensington Park with kick off at 8.30am on Saturday mornings with four games of 10mins being played. There are also a few tournaments held at Tikipunga.
Grade 9 and above
Grade 9 and above usually have a home game at the Mangakahia Sports Complex and an away game elsewhere.

Our emphasis is on community service in all forms.
Lions programs serve the young and the aged, the disabled and the disadvantaged – anybody who has a need.

We have a strong junior rugby community along with a great facility to train at on Thursdays from 4.30pm.

Games are held at home (Mangakahia Sports Complex) and away on a Saturday kicking off at 2:00pm. The official season usually starts towards the end of March.

All new players welcome. Come along to the Mangakahia Community & Sports Complex and enjoy the social game on our two courts. We have various membership options and once you have joined up you will generally have 24 hour access to the clubrooms, so you can fit your squash exercise in around your lifestyle. Our club is affiliated to Squash Northland and Squash New Zealand and we have a variety of organised squash including interclub fixtures, weekly senior squash club night, junior squash, and we also host two or three tournaments each year where players from throughout Northland come to compete.
